After several consecutive days of hearing constant barking, a South Asian rescue organization received a tip about a dog possibly residing in an old, deserted house.
Upon their arrival, the rescuers found that the building was without electricity and appeared to have been neglected for years. At first glance, they saw no signs of a dog until the barking led them to investigate further. Following the sound, they ventured into the basement where they uncovered a small dog chained tightly, unable to move or flee the area.
Quickly, they freed the dog, carefully removing the rope that had been wound around its neck. It was so tightly bound that it had cut into her skin, causing painful and severe wounds.
The rescue group promptly took her to a veterinarian, who treated her injuries and started her on a nutritious diet. Thankfully, aside from her neck wound, the dog was found to be in good health and was expected to recover fully, allowing her to live a normal life.
Although the identity of the person who abandoned the dog in the decaying house remains a mystery, the most important fact is that she is now safe and will never face such neglect again.
