This is the reality for a sweet pup in Missouri named Box, who has faced significant challenges in his quest for a forever home. Born with a noticeable underbite, Box’s journey has been anything but easy.
When Box arrived at Pawportunities Animal Rescue, the staff was surprised by his appearance. It was revealed that his previous owner, a breeder, decided to surrender him because of his underbite. The breeder, it turned out, was more concerned with profit than the welfare of his dogs, and as soon as Box displayed his unique trait, he was deemed worthless and brought to the shelter.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Box is now safe and has a chance to find a loving family. However, the journey to his forever home is still a challenging path.
At the rescue, the team took the time to get to know Box. Despite his past hardships, this six-year-old Chihuahua quickly revealed his gentle nature. Fortunately, he is in good health, which offers hope for his future. Now, all he can do is patiently wait for the right family to come along.
