Earlier this year, Leia’s owner, Katie Snyder, sent her to stay with her parents for a little vacation. While Leia quickly grew fond of Snyder’s mom and dad, her reserved nature masked just how strong her connection to Snyder’s father truly was.
One evening, during her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary celebration, Snyder’s dad experienced unexpected health issues and had to be hospitalized overnight. Snyder’s mom returned home alone, as hospital rules didn’t allow her to stay. However, she wasn’t completely alone—Leia was there to keep her company.
