Apathy can be an unseen threat, posing serious risks to those who go unnoticed in our world. Many animals suffer greatly in solitude, often going unnoticed by the busy lives of people around them.
Recently, a team of dedicated volunteers from Manejo de Fauna Callejera was preparing to begin their day when they stumbled upon a young puppy on the streets of Tasajera.
He lay there alone and motionless, leading the volunteers to fear the worst. Yet, despite his weakened state, their concern drove them to approach him.
This puppy, later named Gorgojito, was so malnourished that he could barely lift himself off the ground. People had been passing by, unaware or indifferent to his plight.
For the few days since he entered this world, Gorgojito’s experience had been one of relentless hardship.
One volunteer shared their commitment to Gorgojito, saying, “We will offer you all the love to transform your life.”
True to their word, the volunteers showered Gorgojito with care. Gradually, he became more active and responded with affectionate gestures—small kisses that seemed filled with gratitude, trust, and unconditional love.
Thanks to the compassion and dedication of these volunteers, Gorgojito’s story took a happy turn. No longer alone, he now thrives in the warmth of a loving family.
Once again, the power of love has triumphed, offering hope and a fresh start for this once-forgotten soul.
