While Abbi found a loving family quickly, Abe remained in the shelter, expecting to find a home soon after.

However, Abe’s journey took a different turn when a shelter coworker decided to adopt him, only for Abe to return shortly after, leaving everyone puzzled.
Despite Abe’s friendly nature and popularity among shelter dogs, he continued to be returned after being adopted twice more.

Determined to give him a chance, John and his girlfriend, inspired by Abe’s resilience, adopted and renamed him Bean.
Despite initial challenges, including leash-pulling and mischief-making, the couple remained patient, determined to influence Bean’s behavior positively.
Amidst the challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the couple to relocate Bean to John’s parents’ home, where he experienced snow for the first time and enjoyed swimming in the family pool.

Bonding with the family pets, Bean’s enthusiastic energy found an outlet, leading to a harmonious integration into his new environment.
Despite initial setbacks, Bean quickly found his place in John’s family, leading to the decision to keep him permanently. It was a heartwarming outcome for all involved.
