Blue’s incredible journey began when she was found shivering on the streets of Midland, Michigan. The Humane Society of Midland County quickly rescued her, providing her the warmth and care she desperately needed.
Upon discovering that Blue had a microchip, shelter staff she reached out to her registered owner, who was stunned to learn that Blue had somehow traveled over 1,300 miles from her home in Florida.
The owner, relieved to know Blue was safe, expressed a desire to have her back. The shelter, eager to reunite Blue with her family, called for volunteers to drive the pup home.
Deeply moved by Blue’s story, Stephanie James stepped forward and embarked on the cross-country journey with her brother.
