Zulu had a large tumor on his neck that pressed dangerously close to his eye, and Hannah had another growing inside her ear.
To make things worse, she was blind. Both were in urgent need of medical care, and surgery was their only chance at relief.
After being rescued, they had to be separated to recover, which made the process even more emotional.
They had clearly depended on each other for comfort during their time on the streets.
Their condition brought tears to everyone who met them—two dogs who had never known real care, now fighting for their lives.
Zulu showed signs of strength first—his appetite returned, a hopeful sign. Hannah, meanwhile, battled infections and anemia, her fragile body worn down by neglect.
But despite the pain and setbacks, neither of them gave up.
After three long months of treatment, the change was incredible. The spark came back in their eyes, and their bond remained strong.
Just when they were ready for the next chapter, a kind-hearted couple stepped forward—not just to adopt one, but both.
They couldn’t bear to separate the two friends who had already lost so much.
